As it turned out, I have seen the stagger effect for about a dozens of times, but I never realized how it is called or what it’s all about.Īfter Andy and Ron introduced us to the stagger query, I got a better understanding of what I need to do and how more or less it might look at the end. Before the session, I never actually heard about anything like stagger issue.
#DRAGONFRAME 4 COPY ONE LIPSYNC TO ANOTHER SCENE TV#
In the end, I managed to process my whole idea design with the TV Paint and tasked soundtrack including and so… Let’s have a look:ĭuring this week I was tasked to create a stagger animation. I also paid attention to the eyebrow movement, as it certainly highlight the character’s expressions. Then, I was able to use those images as templates, throughout the whole creation process. Here’s the designs following lip accents and expressions:
I also took my time to look at range of cartoon fish examples and in the end, I managed to design one. consideration, I decided to swap a human theme over to something more cartoon and animal, more precisely, I chose a fish theme. The only one, left question yet to ask myself, was… and what my character will look like? Well, after 30 min. With all that in mind, I tried my best with TV Paint software. In fact, I have also looked at other lip sync examples, references, such as the following ones: No to mention, the 16 seconds long soundtrack that we have been given, it was already tricky itself. The words that could be heard on this voice over, not necessarily did make sense on their own and so, it was also interesting of how the character design development was to be progressed… From the context of audio, I could already tell, that I had to design some elder woman with a voice tone similar to some creepy and bad mademoiselle like Cruella DeVille or Madame Medussa.Īndy told us, that apart from keeping ourselves to the animation methods and techniques, we are so welcome to go ahead, play, mix and experiment with all of our knowledge relating to animation. All this of course, depend yet on our character’s features, gender, but the principle is fairly same in all the cases. Lip sync principle is this kind of exercise when you just have to study the movements, certain accents, as well as the actual mimic of the face. It is most helpful to define specific ways of how the words are being spoken out and how the character actually is acting at the time. For example, when we would say single letter of “O”, and then quickly simple “M”, you would notice a difference within our voice tone along with the lip movement/reaction. As I found out, each tone, specific letters accent and accents themselves differ when spoken out, conveyed. At first, we got to look at the lip sync guides, which combined with the explanations of Ron and Andy, gave us a new light onto this whole case. Over the last two weeks, I was supposed to create a lip sync animation, following the voice over we have been provided with. – transition from the reality into dream: Īnd for the overall soundtrack I chose the following melody, which is to accompany the animation from scene one to the fourth:
And here are the actual sound effects of those outlined doings: So above I have highlighted each of the actives that make sounds. And of course our Isla and Harley, who do try to run away, but before yet, they do have to come out of the water. Pirate Ship, possibly the final scene, where the pirates are acting in the pirate manner, which include them screaming, chanting. Under the sea, this scene will certainly include lots of the water sounds, as well as the movement of our characters underneath the surface.ĥ. Plus, at the end we are going to experience the sound of the alarm.Ĥ. So at this point, we might experience some quiet noises of the stepping, footsteps. Museum Burglary, so this is the scene where our two characters do steal and in the conclusion, they do creep along the room. Western Cowboy, here we can see our Isla riding on Harley, and that simple activity does make a noise – (thinking of some horse galloping).ģ. But also the transition between the living room and the dream itself might be expressed at some sound effect.Ģ. The intro, where the two of the main characters find themselves sleeping in the living room. So again, let’s have a look at the story divided into the following parts:ġ. Therefore, it was quite significant to pay particular attention to each scene and assign the proper sounds. When thinking about the sound following our animation project, either it’s the soundtrack or some sound effects, the first thing to do, was to divide the animation story into the parts, because they obviously start differ between each other within the progression of the movie.
